For our final project we were tasked with making a clock with the machines that we have learned how to use over the coarse of the year. For the final project I was trying to make a football clock made with the laser and then I was planning on making a stand with the 3D printer and then I was going to use the numbers with the vinyl cutter and those would be the tree tools. I started with the clock part and that is where I got my part. I went into illustrator and I just got an image of a football and I used it. It was a nice image but then I thought that it would've been nice to just use the laces and the middle section because that's the part that's the most important part of the ball. So then after that I went and printed that with the laser and then I used that to see how wide that the posts should be for my stand to fit the part in the middle of the clock. Once I figured out how wide to make it I went into inventor and made the little stand for my project just to prop it up and make sure that it doesn't fall over. I finished that in around one day and then I went to the 3D printer and printed that over night and then when I came back the print was done. I was then just needing a way to make the clock to read time accurately. I just thought that I would use four tick marks to represent the 12, 3, 6, and 9. So I just made a little tick mark at each of the times and then I called it a clock done and I'm happy that I'm done.
So I learned that working with multiple machines on one project isn't that bad and I think that it is really fun to. I think that this wasn't as hard as I thought that it would coming into the project and I actually got everything done in a really fast fashion and I think that it all went really well. I was happy with my work and think that it turned out really well. I will be done with this class after this and I was happy that I took it. I did everything really well and I'm happy that the class was like it was. Overall I really liked this project and this semester as a whole and am excited to move on.
